Returns & Exchanges Policy
At FirstCommunions.com, a Christian Expressions® company, we want you to be pleased with your purchase. We understand that sizing and fit can sometimes require an exchange, especially when purchasing First Communion apparel online.
Please review the following Return & Exchange Policy carefully before returning merchandise.
By returning merchandise to Christian Expressions®, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the terms and conditions outlined below.
Return & Exchange Eligibility
Returns and exchanges must be postmarked within 20 days of receiving your merchandise and must be returned before the wear date provided with your order.
To qualify for a return or exchange:
- Merchandise must be unworn and in its original condition.
- Items may be tried on for sizing but may not have been worn for an event or occasion.
- All original tags must remain attached and in their original location.
- Merchandise must be free from stains, makeup, odors, perfume, smoke, pet hair or other signs of wear or use.
- Items must be returned in appropriate protective packaging.
- Clearance items are final sale and are not returnable.
Christian Expressions® reserves the right to refuse merchandise that does not meet the requirements of this Return & Exchange Policy.
Special Policy for Dresses, Suits & Veils
Christian Expressions® has a one dress, one suit or one veil refund policy.
If multiple dresses, suits or veils are purchased for the purpose of comparing styles or sizes with the intention of returning them for a refund, only one item may be returned for a refund.

We strongly encourage customers who are unsure about sizing to review the product measurements and contact us before placing multiple orders.
How to Return or Exchange an Item
Please complete our Return & Exchange Form and include it inside your package.
Including the completed form helps us identify your order and process your return or exchange as quickly as possible.
Please provide:
- Full name
- Billing or shipping address
- Order number
- Email address
- Telephone number
- Product name
- Product/item number
- Size being returned
- Whether you are requesting a refund or exchange
- Requested exchange item and size, if applicable
For exchanges, we recommend providing several acceptable replacement choices because inventory can change quickly, particularly during First Communion season.

We strongly recommend using a trackable and insured shipping method.
Please keep your tracking number and shipping receipt until your return has been completely processed.
The customer is responsible for ensuring that the package is delivered to the correct return address and for providing proof of delivery if necessary.
Return Shipping Costs
Customers are responsible for all costs associated with shipping merchandise back to Christian Expressions®, except when the merchandise received was damaged or an incorrect item was shipped by us.
Original shipping charges are generally non-refundable.
If merchandise returned for a refund causes the original order total to fall below the amount required to qualify for free shipping, the applicable original shipping charge may be deducted from the refund.
Christian Expressions® is not responsible for return shipping expenses resulting from carrier delivery delays.
Exchanges Within the United States
For eligible exchanges within the United States, Christian Expressions® will pay for one ground shipment of the replacement merchandise.
Customers are responsible for the cost of shipping the original merchandise back to us.
Exchange merchandise is subject to availability.
Because inventory can change quickly during First Communion season, we recommend including multiple acceptable exchange choices on your Return & Exchange Form.
International Orders
We do not offer exchanges on orders shipped outside the United States.
International customers who need a different item or size should:
- Place a new order online for the desired merchandise.
- Return the eligible original merchandise according to our Return Policy.
- Once the returned merchandise has been received, inspected and approved, the applicable refund will be processed.
Returns Received After the Return Period
Returns must be postmarked within 20 days of receiving the merchandise.
Merchandise returned outside the eligible refund period may be eligible for exchange or merchandise credit only, subject to approval.
If no exchange instructions are included with the returned merchandise, an eligible return may be issued as a store merchandise credit rather than a refund.
Refund Processing
Once your return is received, it will be inspected to confirm that it meets our Return Policy requirements.
Approved refunds will be processed within 20 days from the date the returned merchandise is received by Christian Expressions®.
Please allow additional time for your bank or credit card company to post the refund to your account after it has been processed.
Shipping charges and other non-refundable charges, when applicable, will be deducted from the refund.
Damaged or Incorrect Merchandise
If you believe you received damaged merchandise or an incorrect item, please contact us before returning the merchandise.
Please include your:
- Name
- Order number
- Item number
- Description of the problem
- Photos of the merchandise, when applicable
Please do not return damaged or incorrect merchandise before contacting us so that we can provide the appropriate instructions.
Order Early for First Communion Season
First Communion merchandise is seasonal, and popular First Communion dresses, veils, suits, shoes and accessories can sell out quickly.
We strongly recommend ordering early enough to allow sufficient time for:
- Delivery
- Trying on garments
- Size exchanges
- Alterations, if necessary
- Unexpected carrier delays
Christian Expressions® cannot guarantee carrier delivery dates and is not responsible for carrier shipping delays or return shipping expenses resulting from delayed deliveries.
